Hi, I am nearly ready to take my locally built Joomla site live and have a few pre-sales questions:
Would I still follow the steps outlined in the Rochen pdf?
I will use Mijoshop for my cart, I intend to use Paypal and maybe a merchant account to take cards directly on my site. Can I do this with business hosting at Rochen?
Also, I have three domain names that I want to point to my new site when I sign up with Rochen. All three names were registered thru GoDaddy. How do I achieve this?
Thanks

Hi Kimbo,

Thank you for your post.

Regarding your questions,

1) To transfer your locally built site to Rochen, you'd want to follow the steps that are outlined here: https://my.rochen.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=70

2) If you are going to be handling credit card payments directly via your website you will want to use an SSL certificate. More information about having your own SSL secured site at Rochen can be found here: https://my.rochen.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=66

3) If you have three additional domain names that you just want to have point to your Rochen hosted site, please open a technical support ticket once your hosting plan is activated and ask us to 'park' them for you.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Kimbo,

There is one other thing to mention for your consideration regarding credit card transactions on your site.

Most merchant accounts will require PCI compliance: http://www.rochenhost.com/virtualization/pci-ready-hosting Which we can only assist with if you have a dedicated environment such as a Managed Virtual Server or Managed Dedicated Server. That's not something that would work with our Business Hosting Plans.

So, before making any decisions about the hosting, we'd recommend that you first check with your Merchant account provider to see what specific requirements they may have in place.

Thank you,
