Some questions about hosting here?

I am thinking of doing Business Hosting Plan 2 (3 domains), and dose the 3 domain can be for 3 different Joomla sites? If so, then I don't see anywhere on the site how much this will cost? I already have one domain that I will just have to move to here. I am still very new to Joomla itself, so can I get Joomla help if I need it or is the support is just for technical issues? My current host have installed Joomla 1.7, But it is not behaving right and I don't think that he knows enough about Joomla to help me with an error that I receive today.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Thank you for taking the time to post your questions here.

Our Business plan 2 allows you to host websites for up to three separate domains, they can indeed all be separate Joomla sites if that's your preference. The cost for Business Plan 2 is $12.95 USD on our US servers or £9.95 GBP on our UK servers.

You just need to ensure that your combined Joomla Installations as well as any other hosted content such as email and/or media, do not exceed the resource limits of your chosen plan (Storage, Data Transfer/Bandwidth, etc). Should they exceed those limits at any time though, you can easily request a seamless upgrade to a new, larger plan.

Our 24/7 support is available to all of our customers for any hosting related, server side issues. Joomla script support is not part of our service remit, however. So for any Joomla specific issues, you will need to consult with a developer or consultant. We recommend Open Source Support Desk: http://www.rochenhost.com/other-services/joomla-and-wordpress-support

You can also find service providers in the Joomla Resources Directory at http://resources.joomla.org

Further Documentation about our support services can be found here: https://my.rochen.com/index.php?fuse=knowledgebase&view=KB_viewArticle&articleId=47 as well as here: http://www.rochenhost.co.uk/about/my-rochen-overview

You may also find our exclusive Joomla Utilities cPanel plugin to be of interest as it offers some helpful tools such as a migration feature, core script upgrading, security tuning, one-click installations, and more: http://www.rochenhost.co.uk/cms-utilities/joomla-utilities

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Tom,

While Wendy is correct that Rochen do not provide support for script related issues many Rochen users are experienced Joomla users and many Joomla related issues get answered in the Rochen forum.

Indeed! Thanks for mentioning that, Nick.

There is a wealth of knowledge and peer to peer support here in forums from the Rochen community. Always a good place to ask first as someone may have just the answer you're looking for.

As a non-customer, Tom, you can currently only see our public boards, but if you manually register your forum account when your hosting is activated, there's quite a few other boards to choose from for a variety of different subjects and topics.

Hi Wendy

How can I find out if the site I want to transfer to Rochen is within the the resource limits of the business plan 1 (Storage, Data Transfer/Bandwidth, etc). I have access to the cpanel in my current host, what information should I look at to get this information?

Thanks,

Rodolfo

Well without wishing to state the obvious how about looking up what storage and data transfer that your site is currently using?

From that the data transfer fits within Business Plan 1.
You don't give the storage used. Assuming it is less than 1GB go for Business Plan 1.
You can always upgrade to Business Plan 2 at a later time.
